CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

As it turns out getting ash, blood, and burns out of clothing is harder thn it looks.
"Is it out yet?" I asked Sonia.
It had been around 4 hours or so since my little act of heroism, and ever since I got home I've been trying to make sure no one notices the burns in my clothes, the blood on my shoes, or the rubble that got stuck in my hair, all in all it took 3 1/2 hours to clean up the mess I made, and am still trying to clean off my clothes.
"Nope" She said" still pretty dirty".
"Dirty enough to make my mom wonder, or dirty enough that I could blame kickboxing class?" I asked.
"I guess you could blame kickboxing class" she said.
"So, whats with your reaction to the photo?" she asked.
"Well, I've seen the boy in the picture before, but I was dreaming, so how odd would it be if he's still alive?"I asked.
"Pretty weird, so what happened in there?"she asked.
I went through the story with her and was about to ask how we could find him when Tamara came running over.
"Come look! theres something cool on the news!" Tamara said.
"Thats a first" Sonia said.
"Just come on!" she said irritably.
"Fine" I said walking to the living room.
She clicked play and it showed a picture of me with a scarf wrapped around my face and hood shrouding my eyes, I was holding my hands up and the fire was repelling.Crap. The news crew did get something.
The two newscasters introduced themselves and began the story, they said:
"Here we have what seems to be a hooded heroine, confirmed female, who saved 5 lives during a large fire, some of the witnesses even said it looked as if the hooded heroine had "superpowers" and sucked up the flame, the five she saved were: Lindsey warkhall age 33, Janis warkhall age 4,Jaide Quinn age 8, Eliona Quinn age 11, and Arin Quinn age 13, all members of the building" .
Hooded heroine? thats the best they could come up with? jeez they didn't even give me a proper name, at least they can tell I'm a girl.
"Also, the county police are looking for this "Hero" to reward for bravery" They concluded.
An award? for moi? as cool as that would be I couldn't accept it, A: I used my powers, so they find me, they find out about my powers, and B:again bombarded by reporters. thats when my cell rang.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hello, this is evalyn Quinn, the woman you gave your number to, um I was wondering if I could get your address or something so I could thank you" she said.
"Oh, uh, Hi, no I'm sorry I can't give you an address, but give me your number and address and I'll come to your house later?" I asked.
"Sounds good, 834-5673, and its 1422 palmetto ave." she said
"Okay thanks" I said writing it down.
I had it, I had my destination and trail, hold on hawk I'm one step closer to solving who you are.
